Sale of Ohio Service Area to Columbus Southern Power

Allegheny Power has completed the sale of its Ohio service territory to Columbus Southern Power Company, a subsidiary of American Electric Power Company.

The sale was implemented on Sunday, Jan. 1, when Allegheny’s Ohio customers became Columbus Southern customers. Allegheny’s customers in the Ohio service territory should now call American Electric Power’s Customer Solutions Center at
1-800-277-2177 for all inquiries, including electric service outages and emergencies, 24 hours a day. You will also find a variety of customer service features at the company’s web site www.AEPOhio.com.

During the first few weeks of January, you will receive an AEP Ohio Customer Handbook. The handbook describes in detail the company’s customer service policies and procedures and will serve as a helpful guide during this transition.
