Convenient Ways to Pay Your Bill
PowerPay, our direct payment plan -- a free and easy way to ensure that payment of your bill is received on time. With PowerPay, your bank automatically deducts your Allegheny Power bill payments from your checking or savings account 10 days after the billing date. EasyPay is
a free electronic bill presentment and payment service that will
provide you with an electronic version of your Allegheny Power bill. With EasyPay, you
will no longer receive a paper bill after one billing cycle. Now, with
the click of a mouse, you will be able to pay your bill online through an electronic
transfer of funds from your checking account. No checks. No stamps. No hassle.

here. This service is not currently available for gas accounts.
Pay Online using PayMybill.com - If you are running short on time or cash, you can make a payment to pay your bill with a credit card or check any time of the day or night via the Internet. All you need is your Allegheny Power account number and a MasterCard, or Discover credit card or your checkbook. You can access this service by clicking here. Service fees apply. Payments made after 2 p.m. are posted effective the next business day.
Pay by Phone - Do you occasionally run short of time or cash to pay your bill? Don't worry. Now you can pay your bill with a credit card or check any time of the day. All you need is your Allegheny Power account number and a MasterCard or Discover credit card or your checkbook. You can access this service by dialing 1-866-427-2927. Service fees apply. Payments made after 2 p.m. are posted effective the next business day.
Pay in Person -
If you prefer to pay your bill in person, there are about 500 bill payment
centers strategically located throughout our service territory. Click here

U.S. Mail - Simply
use the return envelope that comes with your bill or mail to Allegheny Power,
800 Cabin Hill Drive, Greensburg, PA 15606.
Western
Union Quick Collect - A cash
only service
that is sent within minutes and posted to your account after nightly processing.
Quick Collect charges a $12.95 fee for payment. Click here for a Western
Union agent locator or phone 1-800-325-6000, option 2. You will need
the following information for the Quick Collect form:
- PAY TO: Allegheny Power
- CODE CITY: Alleghenypower (one word)
- STATE: (your state)
- ACCOUNT NUMBER: (AP account number on your bill)
- You will need to keep
the 10 digit Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN)
as a receipt.
- Payment
will be sent within minutes and posted to your account after
night processing.
Electronic
Data Interchange (EDI) - We can accept
your payment electronically through Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). Our
systems can accommodate several EFT formats. Click

Payment Plans
Average Payment Plan -
We offer an average payment plan option as a convenience to residential
customers who wish to level out their bill payments. This plan gives you more
control of your monthly household budget.
Bill Extender Plan - If you
receive Social Security or federal government pension benefits, our Bill
Extender Plan may be right for
you. We may be able to adjust the due date of your bill to coincide with the
arrival of your monthly check. Call us at 1-800-Allegheny for more information
or to sign-up.
Third Party Designation -
With this plan, you can designate a friend, neighbor, relative, or social
service agency to receive a disconnection notice should you miss your bill
payments because you're away or ill. The party you choose has no obligation
to pay the bill but can help you make payment arrangements and avoid disconnection.

Protection from Abuse Order (PFA) - PA residents only
What is a Protection From Abuse Order (PFA)?
A PFA is a civil order from the court that protects you and your minor children from your abuser. A PFA can be requested on your own behalf against a family or household member who is causing the abuse. Under the law, abuse is considered:
- Bodily injury or rape. Criminal charges are not required to be filed.
- Reasonable fear of imminent serious bodily injury.
- Child abuse.
- Stalking.
- Being held against your will.
What you need to know.
If you have a valid Protection From Abuse Order (PFA), regardless of your income, you will receive the following protections from Allegheny Power.
- Allegheny Power cannot disconnect your electric service during the winter period without permission from the Public Utility Commission.
- Electric service may not be disconnected on a Friday.
- You will receive additional notice prior to termination.
- If you are required to pay a security deposit, you may be able to pay it in three payments.

Please note: In order to receive the above listed protections concerning your electric service, you will be required to provide Allegheny Power with a copy of your PFA Order. Allegheny Power will not share this information with any third party.
