Moving with Our IVR

 

Moving can be stressful, but with our new IVR phone system, starting or stopping electric service is easier than ever. There are no more buttons to push or confusing menus - you simply need to speak when prompted and let us do the work. Here is some information you should have before you call.

 

Start Service Checklist


If you are moving to a new location and need the service in your name, just say “Start Service” and have the following items available.
(A meter number is the best way to locate an account. If you do not have access to the meter, make sure to have the full street address including the zip code.)
  • Date to start service
  • Social security number
  • Date of birth
  • Current mailing address with zip code
  • New mailing address with zip code
  • New telephone number
  • A valid checking account, MasterCard or Discover card to pay a deposit.

Stop Service Checklist

If you are moving out of your current address and need to take the service out of your name, just say “Stop Service” and have the following items available.

  • 14 digit account number
  • Date to close service
  • New postal address with zip code
  • New telephone number
  • The final meter reading
  • (If you do not provide a final meter reading your final reading will be estimated)
